Combinations need to be Registered & Approved by 12 noon on Friday, 25th April in order to be eligible to enter.
With regard to balloting should the need arise it will be carried out as per Regulation 62 (v) (page 17) of the 2025 Regulations for Pony Races).
Ponies may not be led to the start. A hunt escort will be provided.
Flete Park runs right-handed (same direction as the PtP Course) with the 138 start beside the open ditch and the 14 start at the 4m PtP Start. The course is undulating, with a downhill section and an uphill finish. Great atmosphere, huge crowds, fantastic parkland venue. Vistors from other areas will be made very welcome, stabling available nearby if needed. Newcomers encouraged.
New riders will earn a Devon & Cornwall Area coat on their completion of their THIRD ride in the Area.
The Area Awards are open to those residing in the Devon & Cornwall Area. Points Trophies. Points will be taken from the best eight results. The Synderborough Farm “Rising Stars” Trophy will go to the pony / rider combination who accumulates the highest number of points throughout the season.
The “Allerton Organics Shield” will go to the combination with the highest points throughout the season in the opposite height category to the above.
The “Greatrex” Trophies will be presented to the 2nd & 3rd highest point scoring combinations throughout the season.
The “Alan Walter Horse Transport” Trophy will be awarded to the rider who has shown the most promise throughout the season (i.e. the rider who is deemed to have improved the most and also been the most helpful on racedays).
Race 1: 148cms & under Novice Riders Race.
For qualified Riders who at the start of the season haven’t WON an OPEN Point-to-Point or an OPEN Pony Club Race, a “NOVICE RIDER” (Point-to-Point) race nor an INTERMEDIATE Race and who have never taken part in the Racecourse series. For qualified Ponies which haven’t WON or been placed second in any OPEN Point-to-Point, OPEN Pony Club or OPEN Racecourse race since 1st January 2023. Combinations must have qualified as per the PRA Regulations.
Race 2: 148cms & under OPEN Race
Should sufficient entries be recevied one race may divide.
