Combinations need to be Registered & Approved by 12 noon on Friday, 9th May in order to be eligible to enter.
With regard to balloting should the need arise it will be carried out as per Regulation 62 (v) (page 17) of the 2025 Regulations for Pony Races).
A prize will be presented at this fixture to the Northern Area rider who accumulates the most points during the season at the Northern Area PtP Pony Racing Fixtures.
Points will be allocated as follows: 1st: 6 2nd: 4 3rd: 2 4th: 1.
The fixtures being: Jedforest (19/1), Berwickshire (9/2), Buccleuch (8/3), Lanarkshire & Renfrewshire and Eglinton (22/3), Morpeth (29/3), Overton Races (13/4), Tynedale (21/4), Leuchars (26/4) and the Haydon (17/5).
Race 1: 148cms & under Novice Riders Race.
For qualified Riders who at the start of the season haven’t WON an OPEN Point-to-Point or an OPEN Pony Club Race, a “NOVICE RIDER” (Point-to-Point) race nor an INTERMEDIATE Race and who have never taken part in the Racecourse series. For qualified Ponies which haven’t WON or been placed second in any OPEN Point-to-Point, OPEN Pony Club or OPEN Racecourse race since 1st January 2023. Combinations must have qualified as per the PRA Regulations.
Race 2: 138cms & under OPEN Race
Race 3: 148cms & under OPEN Race
Ponies may not be led to the start. A hunt escort will be provided.
