In light of the BRS & NHC suspending their Level 3 Pony Racing Training Days, we are holding a Advanced Training day for those needing to qualify for PRA Pony Racing and Pony Club Pony Racing.
2.30pm arrival, on ponies for 2.50pm.
Please pass all passports to the Assessor on the day for checking by the PRA and Kelsall Team, before unboxing.
To be held at: Kelsall Equestrian Centre, Organsdale Farm, Middlewich Rd, Cheshire, Tarporley CW6 0SR
The children will take part in a number of different sessions including both riding and non-riding exercises, teaching them about balance and fitness required for pony racing. If all goes well and they are happy to do so, they will ride on the gallops.
If the coaches are satisfied they are safe and in control of their pony, they will be qualified to ride in PRA and Pony Club Pony Races in 2025 and 2026.
These days are designed for children with their own pony or access to a pony that they can race which they will bring to the day. Jockeys without a pony, please see our Youth Training Scheme information.
Ponies attending the day must be microchipped AND be fully vaccinated against Equine Influenza with a minimum of annual vaccinations. Please note that no vaccination for Equine Influenza should be given more than 6 days before the Training Day which means that if you vaccinate on a Monday, you are not clear to attend a PRA event until the following Monday.
