This Pony Racing Coach Training is an interactive CPD for experienced, confident coaches who would like to develop their knowledge of the sport of pony racing.

The joining link will be sent to those registered on Monday 7th September.

The purpose of this training session is to:

-        Provide an introduction to the sport of Pony Racing
-        Explain the Pathway into Racing, through Pony Racing and the training pathway and opportunities for young riders https://ponyracingauthority.co.uk/pathwayIntoRacing
-        Demonstrate how unmounted activities can be used to improve fitness, balance and technique
-        Explain the tack, rider PPE and equipment required for Pony Racing  
-        Describe the progression from coaching riders in an arena to safely and effectively coaching on the gallops and the benefits of this ahead of pony racing
-        Discuss what to expect on race day
-        Clarify Rules & Regs including vaccinations & JMB
 
The training starts at 11am and will last around 2 hours with a short break.

This is an interactive session. Please keep cameras on throughout. 

The same online session is running on 07.12.26 & 08.03.27 and a Face to Face session is running on 12th October at Moor Place Gallops, Hook, Hampshire for PRA coaches and other coaches with Pony Racing coaching experience.

This coach training session counts as PRA and Pony Club CPD and costs £5
