This Pony Racing Coach Training is an interactive CPD for experienced, confident coaches to develop their knowledge of the sport. 

The purpose of this training session is to:

-        Provide an introduction to the sport of Pony Racing
-        Explain the Pathway into Racing, through Pony Racing and the training pathway and opportunities for young riders https://ponyracingauthority.co.uk/pathwayIntoRacing
-        Demonstrate how unmounted activities can be used to improve fitness, balance and technique
-        Explain the tack, rider PPE and equipment required for Pony Racing-        
-        Show the progression from coaching riders in an arena to safely and effectively coaching on the gallops and the benefits of this ahead of racing
-        Discuss the preparation of pony and rider for a race day and what to expect on the day
-        Rules/regs including vaccinations
     Support with structuring safe, effective & engaging Pony Racing Training/Coaching sessions

The training will last around 2 hours with a short break starting at 6pm

This is an interactive session so cameras must remain on throughout. 

There are similar online sessions running on 07.09.26 & 08.03.27 and a Face to Face session running on 12th October at Moor Place Gallops in Hampshire for coaches with Pony Racing coaching experience

This coach training session counts as PRA and Pony Club CPD and costs £5
