Description
The Races will take place BEFORE the official PtP Races.
Race 1: 148cms & under NOVICE RIDER Race
Conditions: For qualified Riders who at the start of the season haven’t WON an OPEN Point-to-Point or an OPEN Pony Club Race, a “NOVICE RIDER” (Point-to-Point) race nor an INTERMEDIATE Race and who have never taken part in the Racecourse series. For qualified Ponies which haven’t WON or been placed second in any OPEN Point-to-Point, OPEN Pony Club or OPEN Racecourse race since 1st January 2022. Combinations must have qualified as per the PRA Regulations.

PLEASE NOTE: COMBINATIONS CAN ONLY BE ENTERED IN ONE RACE ON ANY ONE WEEKEND.
FOR THOSE WITH MORE THAN ONE PONY, IF MAKING ENTRIES FOR MORE THAN ONE RACE AT A FIXTURE, YOU MUST STATE YOUR PREFERRED RACE. SHOULD THE RACES BE OVER SUBSCRIBED YOU WILL ONLY BE PERMITTED TO RIDE IN ONE RACE ON THE DAY.
Ponies may not be led to the start. A hunt escort will be provided.
A prize will be presented at the Haydon Hunt on Saturday, 18th May to the Northern Area rider who accumulates the most points during the season at the Northern Area PtP Pony Racing Fixtures. Points will be allocated as follows: 1st: 6 2nd: 4 3rd: 2 4th: 1.
The fixtures being: Jedforest (21/1), Berwickshire (11/2), Buccleuch (9/3), Lanarkshire & Renfrewshire and Eglinton (23/3), Morpeth (29/3), Tynedale (1/4), Overton Races (27/4) and the Haydon (18/5).
